Course Expectations

This is a college level course, there is an expectation of adult learning readiness prior to enrollment in this course, As adults, we are self-directed learners and our readiness to learn is directly influenced by our interests. We tend to learn best when the topics presented are aligned with our goals, such as topics that would help boost our careers or accomplish relevant tasks.

This Course Requires:

Self-Direction: Adults feel the need to take responsibility for their lives and decisions. They prefer having control over their learning process. To support this, instructional designers should provide self-assessment opportunities, peer relationships with instructors, multiple learning options, and subtle initial support

Involvement

Our involvement in the learning process can encourage a better understanding of course material. Adult learners tend to adopt a self-directed approach to their learning journeys as they take ownership of what, when and how they learn practical skills or new topics.
